Site Planning Coordinator
Essential Functions:
Support Sales, Marketing, Installation, and Service needs including
- Updating the schedule of sites.
- Report on the confidence of individual site teams to keep the schedule.
- Resolve issues that influence site readiness.
- Provide metrics for operational planning.
- Assisting marketing with informational and graphical materials.
- Significant domestic and International travel will be required.
- Attend Sales and Marketing events including trade shows and customer site visits in order to:
- Educate on the requirements for a Mevion site.
- Discuss the Mevion facility development process.
- Interact with prospective customers on facility tours.
- Prepare concept representations of potential customer sites with Mevion vaults.
- Train on how to use the Site Planning Guide.
- Assist with where to find appropriate reference materials and consulting resources.
Coordinate Site Planning activities for all Mevion customers by:
- Responding to the customer, the customer’s design team and their contractor’s questions.
- Monitoring the site development process to ensure compliance with Mevion requirements.
- Reviewing customer architectural and schematics documents.
- Visiting sites to perform conformance inspections in preparation for site readiness.
- Coordinating material deliveries.
- Communicating with site engineers, trades, and project managers.
- Updating and distributing Site Planning Guide and Supplements.
- Controlling customer site documents.
- Keeping informed of engineering projects that will affect the customer’s design plans and communicate those as appropriate.
Educational, Training and Experience Qualifications:
- 5 + years experience in large facility planning and construction
- Medical facility projects or complex large scale device installations
- Ability to review architectural documents in great detail
- Excellent communication skills especially with architects and construction managers
- Ability to produce or direct the production of CAD drawings and architectural specifications
- Excellent record keeping
Other Considerations, Physical and Environmental:
- Ability to stand for long periods of time, ascend and descend ladders and stairs, bending, stooping, kneeling and crouching.
- Ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 25 lbs. Must be able to use all standard office equipment such as a computer, keyboard, copier, and telephone.
- The employee will work with radiation producing equipment using high magnetic fields, high voltages, compressed and liquefied gases, and radioactive materials.
- Strict adherence to corporate safety procedures is mandatory.
- This position involves occasional exposure to high magnetic fields and routine exposure to magnetic fields above 5 gauss. Individuals with pacemakers, automatic defibrillators, or similar implants are physically disqualified from this position. Individuals with other implanted metallic materials must be considered on a case by case basis, per medical advice from the candidate’s physician and company policy.
