Practical Proton Therapy with the MEVION S250 Proton Therapy System

Proton therapy, a technology that has been available since the 1950’s, has experienced a dramatic increase in demand among healthcare providers and patients. However the immense size, enormous expense and complexity of traditional proton therapy systems has prevented its widespread adoption. Recent advancements in accelerator technology and delivery have eliminated many of the obstacles that had prevented hospitals and free-standing cancer centers from adding this premier technology to their facility. This symposium, hosted by Mevion Medical Systems, will provide attendees with a 360 degree view of what it takes to install a true single room proton therapy system presented by their clinical partners on topics such as MEVION S250 treatment capabilities, project management and facility commissioning.
